Driven by learning, my experiences aim to foster personal learning and assist others in their education. As a Software Developer Intern at American Airlines, I learned invaluable lessons about industry, technology, and how I function in a corporate environment. In addition to learning the Agile methodology and frameworks like React and Next.js, I gained greater perspective on cross-team efforts to develop and deliver a successful product. My experiences as a Texas A&M College of Engineering Peer Teacher and Notion Campus Leader exemplify my desire to share my educational experiences with others and provide tools for growth. Peer teaching has enabled me to assist students in learning how to program, debug, and logically problem-solve. As a Notion Campus Leader, I've had the opportunity to connect with a wide variety of people and organizations throughout my school in order to educate people on a tool that fosters productivity.
When I lean into my natural strengths, I thrive. On a personal level, I function best through organization, communication, and balance, and these are skills that I apply just the same in my work and educational endeavors. Additionally, as someone with lots of passion for both STEM and humanities, I am naturally drawn to leadership roles in which I can coordinate, communicate, and balance technical endeavors through a less technical lens, providing diverse perspectives. Strong organizational skills have helped me in the successful implementation of any ideas or goals that have yet to come to fruition; my natural tendency to organize and optimize actionable ideas for implementation enables me to save time and be successful in my efforts, both personally and professionally. My ultimate belief is that balance is crucial in order to progress towards a goal. I exhibit balance personally by combining my technical and communication skills, and these skills enable me to provide balance to teams that lean in either direction, offering perspective that assists in leading successful efforts.
